Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Lead Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation and optimization of our claims management system. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and a strong understanding of property and casualty (P&C) insurance processes. As a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining solutions, and ensuring that the ClaimCenter platform meets business needs and delivers maximum value.In this leadership role, you will guide cross-functional teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system configuration, integration, and testing. Your ability to align technology capabilities with business objectives, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, will ensure project success and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Lead the requirements gathering and documentation process for Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring business needs align with system capabilities.
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data flows related to claims management to identify areas for optimization.
- Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases to support development and testing activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter functionality, configuration, and integration points.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, resolve issues, and achieve stakeholder consensus.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, review test cases, and validate system functionality against requirements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of project delivery.
- Support project management activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, and status reporting.
- Conducted user training sessions, created training materials, and supported change management initiatives.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain, specifically in property and casualty (P&C) insurance.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter in a lead or senior BA role.
- Proven track record of leading complex Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations or upgrades.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and business users.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies, including experience writing user stories and managing backlogs.
- Familiarity with claims management processes, workflows, and insurance industry regulations.
- Experience with system integration projects, including APIs and third-party systems.
Qualification/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter functionality, configuration, and integration points.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Certification in Guidewire ClaimCenter or related Guidewire products is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior analysts and driving team collaboration.
