Job Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Guidewire BillingCenter Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance domain billing processes and hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation of Guidewire BillingCenter modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document business requirements for Guidewire BillingCenter implementations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements specific to billing and payment processing.
  • Analyze and evaluate current billing workflows, payment plans, and collections processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, and business process models for Guidewire BillingCenter configurations.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure that technical solutions align with business needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client-side and cross-functional teams to understand customer pain points and translate them into actionable user stories.
  • Participate in the design and configuration of Guidewire BillingCenter modules to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business product owners, architects, actuaries, developers, and testers to ensure solutions align with defined requirements.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Guidewire BillingCenter functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with Guidewire product updates, industry trends, and best practices in billing and payments.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and solutions.
  • Work in a global delivery model as a liaison between the client and software development teams across different geographies.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced Agile (Scrum / SAFe) environment with multiple stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Strong domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance, specifically in billing and payment processes.
  • Expertise in creating functional specifications, including user stories, process flows, use cases, and data mappings.
  • Experience in gathering, defining, and organizing business and functional requirements, including acceptance criteria for development and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter.
  • Experience with billing processes, invoicing, payment methods, installment plans, commission calculations, and collections management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Guidewire certification in BillingCenter is a plus.
  • Knowledge of other Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter) is beneficial.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools to extract and analyze billing data.
  • Knowledge of third-party payment gateways, bank integrations, and financial reconciliation processes is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Guidewire BillingCenter.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance billing operations, including direct billing, agency billing, and commissions processing.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
