Job Summary/Objective:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance domain processes and hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter modules.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business requirements for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations and upgrades.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements specific to Policy processes.
- Analyze and evaluate current Policy processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop detailed functional specifications and user stories for Guidewire PolicyCenter configurations.
- Work closely with developers to ensure that technical solutions align with business needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with client-side and cross-functional teams to understand customer pain points and translate them into actionable user stories.
- Participate in the design and configuration of Guidewire PolicyCenter modules to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business product owners, architects, actuaries, developers, and testers to ensure solutions align with defined requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Guidewire PolicyCenter functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with Guidewire product updates and industry best practices.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and solutions.
- Work in a global delivery model as a liaison between the client and software development teams across different geographies.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced Agile (Scrum / SAFe) and multiple stakeholder environments.
Experience:
- Strong domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance to understand and analyze business needs.
- Expertise in creating functional specifications including user stories, process flows, use cases, and data mappings.
- Experience in gathering, defining, and organizing business and functional requirements, including acceptance criteria for development and testing.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, including configuration and customization.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Guidewire certification in PolicyCenter is a plus.
- Knowledge of other Guidewire modules (ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) is beneficial.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, particularly in policy management.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
