Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Delivery Manager – PCD Architect to join our team during an internal restructuring. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, managing a virtual team across infrastructure, and ensuring the successful implementation of various technical solutions. Your expertise in infrastructure, cloud technologies, virtualization, and databases will be essential in driving efficient project delivery across our service offerings. As a Technical Delivery Manager – PCD Architect, you will also contribute to shaping solutions, providing architectural guidance, and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to achieve project objectives. This position involves working on a variety of projects, including platform implementation, end-of-life support, application delivery, and infrastructure migration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical delivery of projects across multiple service offerings and platforms, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide strategic guidance on technical solutions and delivery approaches.
- Lead a virtual team of professionals, including Solution Architects and Tech Delivery Architects, to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Assist in the development of project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies to optimize project delivery outcomes.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in areas such as infrastructure, cloud technologies, virtualization, databases, and storage systems.
- Work closely with SMEs to understand complex technical requirements, propose architectural solutions, and contribute to the overall system design.
- Evaluate and review data center migration plans and conduct thorough reviews of CVs to identify suitable resources for project execution.
- Collaborate with Change Management and Resource Management teams to align infrastructure projects and manage dependencies effectively.
- Actively participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Delivery Manager, PCD Architect, or similar role, preferably within a complex IT environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies, including cloud platforms, virtualization, operating systems, databases, and storage systems.
- Experience in managing and delivering projects involving platform implementation, end-of-life support, and infrastructure migration.
- Solid understanding of architectural principles and the ability to contribute to technical solution design and decision-making processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead virtual teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
- A master’s degree is preferred.
