Job Summary/Objective:
The Senior Technical Analyst in the Cash and Liquidity Technology team plays a crucial role in the software development process, overseeing technical design, application architecture, and support for payment flows across European branches. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders and ensuring the quality, efficiency, and alignment of applications with architecture standards. Additionally, it requires resolving technical issues, driving service excellence, and fostering a customer-centric culture.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and in-house bespoke applications within the Cash and Liquidity Technology System Analysis domain.
- Create and oversee technical designs and application architectures based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to guide design and execution processes, ensuring that solutions align with architectural specifications and industry standards.
- Work with clients and users to determine the most effective use of application platforms, setting standards and strategies for entire application areas.
- Act as a primary point of contact for investigating and resolving Level 3 support issues, coordinating efforts among relevant parties. Additionally, support timely resolution of test environment issues.
- Promote and cultivate a culture of service excellence, prioritizing customer satisfaction, employee well-being, and business objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with various technology teams, including Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Head Office, Service Management, Change & Release Management, and IT Risk, Security & Control.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, approachability, and flexibility while also having the ability to work independently.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and application architecture, along with expertise in service management.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SEPA (Credit Transfer and Direct Debit, Instant), Faster Payments, BACS, and local European payment formats.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with FIS OPF application or similar payment processing applications.
- Preferable understanding of middleware, sanctions screening, charging, and fraud monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with ISO XML message formats (e.g., pain, pacs, camt formats).
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant development life cycles.
- Current experience with infrastructure components such as WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, Linux, Windows servers, Oracle, and SQL databases.
- Broad expertise in application design, security, and operations.
- Good understanding of IT standards and codes of conduct.
- Ability to troubleshoot both infrastructure and development-related issues.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, high availability, deployment models, disaster recovery, cloud computing, and networking.
- Strong understanding of API and Digital Enablement platforms.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
